Below is an announcement from the Town of Wilmington:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington DPW received late notice that Keolis, the operations contractor for the MBTA, will be performing emergency railroad crossing work at the Glen Road crossing this Friday night June 2, 2023 starting at 9pm. To expedite the work and provide the least amount of traffic disruption, the work will be performed overnight.
Glen Road will be closed to through traffic at the rail crossing during the overnight and is projected to be closed through approximately 2pm on Saturday June 3rd. It is likely the work may be completed prior to this time and 2pm is a worst case scenario, according to Keolis.
Soft Closures for Glen Road will be provided at each end, on Middlesex Ave and Main Street, with hard closures just before the tracks in the vicinity of Drury Lane and Gandalf Way.
Please refer to the DPW website or the town’s social media for a map of the work area and please obey the directives of police details and detour signs during the operation.
If you have any questions, please call the Wilmington DPW at 978-658-4481.
