PHOTOS: Wilmington High School Recognizes 18 Seniors With Athletic Awards

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Athletic Department recently recognized 18 senior athletes with awards at the WHS Annual Senior Athletic Awards and Scholarship Night:

Mike Montefore and Gabby Daniels received the Richard Scanlon Coaches Award and the  Jan Cassidy Wood Coaches Award. These awards are given to the athletes who represents the finest qualities of fair play, work ethic, perseverance, and athletic excellence.

Katelin Hally and Charlie Chirichiello received the Ryan Covino Award. This award is given to a non-captain senior athlete who displays character, commitment, and leadership.

Ethan Ryan and Abby LaClair received the Jim Stewart Award and Judy O’Connell Award. These awards are given to an athlete whose achievements and efforts in athletics exhibit perseverance and hard work unmatched by their peers.

Ryan Willson and Sofia Scalfani received the Ed Harrison Athletic Leadership Award. This award is given to a senior athlete who has exhibited outstanding leadership qualities supported by athletic achievement in sports.

Kassidy Smith and Owen Mitchell received the Athletic Directors Choice Award. This award is given to a senior athlete who has demonstrated character, commitment, academic success and leadership, while displaying the most desired characteristics of a Wilmington High School Student Athlete.

Jess Collins and Jacob Roque received the Joseph H. Woods Jr Memorial Award. The award is given to the senior athlete demonstrating courage, discipline, and tenacity.

Michael Ings and Mallory Brown received the Lawrence Cushing Award. The award is given to the senior demonstrating sportsmanship, scholarship, and athletic ability.

Joey Kullman and Alexa Graziano received the Ding Driscoll Award. The award is given to the senior athlete demonstrating dedication to athletics at Wilmington High School.

Tiffanie Smith and Nathan Alberti received the Dr. Gerald Fagan Award. The award is given to  the Most Outstanding Wilmington High School Senior Athlete.
