OBITUARY: Austin Camic, 29

WILMINGTON, MA — Austin Francis Callahan Camic, age 29, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2023.

Austin was born on May 16, 1994, in Malden, MA; he was the cherished son of Colleen Camic of Wilmington. Austin was diagnosed with autism at 24 months and faced many challenges but with the unconditional love that he received from his family; especially his Mom, he was able to enjoy many things in life including trips to Old Orchard and spending time on the beach. Austin really enjoyed playing in the surf or swimming in the pool.

Austin attended Light House School in Chelmsford where he was challenged to do his best and he graduated in 2016, this was such a proud moment for his family.

Austin had a kind heart and brought a lot of joy to those around him.

Besides his mother, Austin is survived by his devoted sister Hannah McCusker and his adoring grandmother Sheila Camic, he was the dear nephew of Miccal Camic & her husband Lou Rivera, and loving cousin of Paige and Ayden Rivera all of Wilmington. Austin was also very special to Randy McCusker and is further survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, June 3rd from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. immediately followed by a Service to Celebrate Austin’s life.
