WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for May 26, 2023

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, May 26, 2023:
  • A tree fell on Reed Street, blocking a portion of the roadway. Police notified DPW. (2:41am)
  • An Aldrich Road caller reported a coyote in their back yard. Coyote left prior to police arrival. Caller was advised the coyote could not be removed. The caller was unhappy. (11:26am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Lowell Street. Airbags deployed. Both vehicles towed. No injuries noted. (12:55pm)
  • Avalon Oaks management requested to speak to an officer regarding stolen packages. (1:00pm)
  • Police received at least four 911 calls from fax machine at AdviniaCare. Police called back, and were placed on hold numerous times and sent to voicemail. Police sent an officer to the facility, which confirmed there was no emergency. (2:39pm)
  • A truck pulled down wires on Chestnut Street. Truck also struck a rock wall. Poles were also damaged. RMLD and Verizon notified. Road was temporarily closed. (3:52pm)
  • A caller reported her son cut his finger on a razor blade left in the men’s t-shirt section of Target. Caller had already notified Target. Caller was advised to follow-up with Target. Caller was satisfied with the incident being logged. (4:24pm)
  • Recreation Department requested an officer speak to a group using a barbeque grill in the Town Beach parking lot. (4:26pm)
