Below is an announcement from Wilmington Public Schools:
WILMINGTON, MA — For the past fourteen years, the MVSA has recognized two students from each of their member schools nominated by the superintendent who have demonstrated excellence in their accomplishments both in the classroom and their community. It is our pleasure to announce that this years’ WPS recipients are Cameryn Foresyth and Owen Mitchell, both seniors at Wilmington High School.
Cameryn’s outstanding academic achievement includes a GPA of 4.19. Beyond her high grades is a commitment to hard work and excellence where Cameryn is involved in a number of extracurricular and athletic organizations, such as DECA, Yearbook Club, National Honor Society, Freshmen Orientation Tours, Girls Varsity Soccer team, and JV and Varsity Lacrosse team. Cameron will be attending UMass Amherst in the fall majoring in Business.
Owen is an accomplished member of WHS’s Class of 2023 both in and out of the classroom. Owen has maintained a stellar 4.15 GPA throughout his high school career while pursuing rigorous Honors and Advanced Placement courses. Outside of school, Owen is an avid golfer and played for the WHS Varsity team, participated on both the Indoor Track and Tennis teams, and has been an active member of Rotary Club and DECA.
