WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for April 8, 2023: Pan-Handler Outside CVS; Car vs. Scooter

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, April 8, 2023:
  • Police notified USPS of an open mailbox on Lowell Street. (5:30am)
  • A walk-in reported her purse was either lost or stolen yesterday while on Concord Street. Her credit cards were used last night. (9:59am)
  • Police came across a man pan-handling near CVS. Man had a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old child with him. Man checked OK. Someone had just given them food. He was out-of-work and lives in Lowell. (1:19pm)
  • Police notified DPW that stop sign at Cross Street and Lowell Street was knocked over. (2:47pm)
  • Target security requested a police officer due to a past theft. (5:29pm)
  • A sedan struck a scooter on Concord Street. Sedan left the scene towards North Reading. No injuries noted. (11:48pm)
