TRAFFIC ALERT: Sewer Work On Middlesex Ave., From Jefferson Ave. To Salem St., To Begin On November 9

Below is an announcement from the Wilmington Department of Public Works:

Please be advised that sewer installation along Middlesex Avenue (associated with the MassWorks grant) will be commencing on Wednesday November 9, 2022. The contractor has started November 3rd by pre-marking within the project limits, and saw cutting pavement (on November 7th and 8th) in advance of their pipe installation start date on November 9th. The project extends along Middlesex Avenue from Jefferson Road to Salem Street and is expected to carry into early December (weather permitting).

While full roadway closures are not expected, traffic will be reduced to single lane within the work zone. As such, minor delays are expected between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. We ask that you please travel with caution and obey the directives of police details, and temporary warning signs during construction operations.
