Below is an announcement from the Massachusetts State Police:
WILMINGTON, MA — At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, Massachusetts State Troopers from the Andover Barracks, along with Wilmington Police and Fire, responded to a crash involving a motorcycle on Route 93 northbound, at Exit 31, in Wilmington.
The crash resulted fatal injuries to the operator of the motorcycle, identified as Rodrigo Rosa, 24, of Wilmington. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The exact cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troop A of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
The far left and far right lanes of Route 93 North were closed for approximately two hours to accommodate the crash investigation.
