PITTSFIELD, ME — 21-year-old Ralph Desrosiers, of Wilmington, passed away from injuries sustained in a single motor vehicle crash on I-95 North in Pittsfield, Maine on Friday, October 21, 2022.
According to Maine State Police, emergency crews and troopers responded to several 911 calls just before 4pm, and located a gray 2009 Nissan Sentra in the median near the 145-mile mark on 95 North.
Troopers determined the vehicle was traveling north in the right lane when the operator lost control and went off the left side of the roadway. The car crashed into a large tree where it came to rest in the median.
Despite emergency medical aid efforts on the scene, the driver succumbed to his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the driving of the gray Nissan Sentra with Massachusetts registration on I-95 northbound in Pittsfield around the time of the crash is asked to contact Trooper Tyler Maloon or Sgt. Desrosiers was a 2019 graduate of Shawsheen Tech.
