POLICE LOG for September 8: Driver Served Summons; Parking Issue Between Businesses; Ice Cream Truck Crashed

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, September 8, 2022:
  • Michael J. Welch (58, Wilmington) was served a summons for Operating A Motor With A Suspended/Revoked Registration; Uninsured Motor Vehicle; and Using Electronic Device While Operating A Motor Vehicle. (10:16am)
  • Savers employee reported a delivery truck at Dollar Tree was blocking fire lane and access to the back of building. Police responded. Ongoing issue between the two businesses. Referred to property manager. (2:04pm)
  • A caller reported the top brace on the double telephone pole in front of their house is broken and only being held together by the cable wire. Police notified Verizon. (3:19pm)
  • An ice cream truck struck a fence at Lowell Street and Strout Avenue. Vehicle towed. No injuries noted. Operator was picked up by a co-worker. (4:10pm)
