POLICE LOG for August 23: Makeshift Camp Located; Speeding Dump Trucks Complaint

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, August 23, 2022:
  • A Park Street caller reported numerous dump trucks speeding past residence in both directions this morning. Police responded. (7:53am)
  • Police assisted with traffic while Benevento’s crew cleans up a cement spill on Salem Street. (8:04am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred with airbag deployment at Main Street and Lake Street. Both vehicles towed. (8:57am)
  • A Powderhouse Circle reported a makeshift camp set up on her property. Police responded. Camp was set up by juveniles on town-owned property. (11:03am)
  • A disgruntled patient was recording doctors at Concentra Medical on Conrod Street. (3:23pm)
  • Caller stated there is a master mosquito van parked in the drive-thru at the old Rite Aid, and that vehicles keep parking in the lot and walking over to it. Caller believes drug activity may being going on. Police responded. Call was not as reported. Driver pulled into Rite Aid to eat and then returned to restaurant with food complaint. He shared both receipts. (4:25pm)
