POLICE LOG for August 21: 1 Call Results In 2 Drivers Arrested For OUI; Groups Of Teens Behaving Badly

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, August 21, 2022:
  • A Nichols Street resident reported a vehicle accident in front of his residence. Lois Ale Cruz (35, Lowell) was arrested for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. William R. Schoel (65, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor. (12:57am)
  • A female requested assistance. She was intoxicated on foot and trying to get home. Police transported female to her residence and released her to her mother. (3:57am)
  • Police and Fire responded to brush fire on Avalon Drive. (10:14am)
  • A caller reported 5 juveniles were riding in Richmond Street heads on towards vehicle. (12:23pm)
  • A caller reported two vehicles were drag racing down Roosevelt Road. (2:23pm)
  • A caller reported 6-7 juveniles were riding their bikes in and out of traffic. Police located juveniles in Dollar Tree plaza and advised them to ride safely. (5:37pm)
  • A caller reported 3 juveniles were trying to jump him and his friends. Juveniles were last seen riding bikes towards Rocco’s. Police were unable to locate. (5:51pm)
  • Police and Fire responded to a stove fire on Kenwood Avenue. (10:41pm)
