POLICE LOG for August 18: 16 Year-Old Served Summons; 7-8 Juveniles Riding Bikes Dangerously

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, August 18, 2022:
  • A juvenile was served a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle; Junior Operator With Passenger Under 18; and Lights Violation. (1:35am)
  • Police was able to free a skunk that was stuck in a fence on Gearty Street. (9:12am)
  • Police spoke with a man soliciting money outside Market Basket. Man stated he was raising money for homeless veterans through an organization called Partitions of Massachusetts. Organization is being investigated by several agencies. (12:03pm)
  • Heather Drive caller reported mailbox was possibly struck by vehicle and damaged. (12:14pm)
  • Thomas R. Shidlow (37, Wilmington) was served a summons for Uninsured Motor Vehicle (x2) and No or Expired Inspection Sticker. (1:44pm)
  • A bicycle was stolen from a Kenwood Avenue residence. (1:50pm)
  • A caller reported 7-8 juveniles were riding in and out of traffic and towards vehicles in the Faulkner Avenue/Cunningham Street area. Police could not locate. (3:36pm)
  • Staff at Milestone Group Home reported 3 female juveniles fighting outside. One staff member was punched in the face, but declined medical attention. Police restored the peace. (9:13pm)
