POLICE LOG for August 12: Mother Calls Police Over Basketball Game; Coyote Struck By Vehicle

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, August 12, 2022:
  • Coyote was hit by a vehicle on Nichols Street, injured, and ran off. Animal Control Officer will ask Environmental Police to set up a trap. (9:35am)
  • A caller reported a disagreement of the basketball courts at Yentile Farm. She stated her 7 and 11 year-olds were waiting to play for 30 minutes, but older group of kids were running back and forth, using both hoops, and running towards her kids. They are also playing inappropriate music. Police responded. Two full courts of basketball were being played and 2 teams were waiting. Caller was gone by time police arrived. (7:26pm)
  • Wilmington Police assisted Andover Police with car group on Ballardvale Street that has been in the area. (9:19pm)
