POLICE LOG for August 2: Fox Takes Up Residency Under Homeowner’s Truck; Girl Flagging Down Vehicles

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, August 2, 2022:
  • Police notified DPW regarding a deceased hawk in the roadway on Lake Street. (9:31am)
  • A caller reported a fox has been under their truck all day, so he cannot use their vehicle or let their dog out. Wilmington Animal Control Officer is off, and Andover Animal Control Officer can’t respond. Andover officer advises homeowner to wet rags with anomia and toss them near the vehicle. The smell should make the fox leave. (3:39pm)
  • A caller reported a girl, approximately 15 years old, was trying to flag down vehicles near the North Intermediate School on Salem Street. Police responded, but were unable to locate. (4:13pm)
  • Police came across a disabled vehicle at Concord Street and Lopez Road. Driver had lost his jacket off the back of his vehicle and was looking for it. Jacket was eventually found. (8:53pm)
