POLICE LOG for July 28: 2 Man Arrested After Crash In House; Vehicle Stolen; Train Gates Malfunctioning

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, July 28, 2022:
  • A lifeguard reported a fox was hanging out in the Town Beach parking lot. It eventually went on its way. (11:24am)
  • Wilmington business owner reported an employee did not return a vehicle. Vehicle was reported missing. (1:28pm)
  • A caller reported a truck crashed into a home on Shawsheen Avenue. Vehicle, described a blue pickup truck, took off towards Canal Street.
    • Robert Dupont (54, Wilmington) was arrested for Possession of a Class A Drug and Possession of a Class B Drug. (5:28pm)
    • Timothy Wayne Fortin (31, Holyoke) was arrested for OUI (Liquor); OUI (Drugs); Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle; Leaving Scene Of Property Damage; Speeding; Possession Of A Class A Drug; and Possession Of A Class B Drug. (5:28pm)
  • Train gates on Clark Street was malfunctioning — arms were up but lights were flashing. Keolis responded. (9:19pm)
