POLICE LOG for June 25: Train Gate Issues; Dirt Bike Complaint; Car vs. Pole; Bad Crash At Lowell St. & West St.

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, June 25, 2022:
  • A caller reported after the train passed on Middlesex Avenue, the gates were going up  and down sporadically. Police notified Keolis. (11:44am)
  • A caller reported an injured bird on trail behind the parking lot at Town Park. Police officer secured bird and brought back to station for Animal Control Officer. (12:03pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred at Lowell Street and West Street. Airbags deployed. Two vehicles towed. No injuries noted. Speedy dry and sand put down due to leakage from accident. (1:58pm)
  • Vehicle struck a pole at Adams Street and Middlesex Avenue. No injuries. Driver was able to get vehicle into St. Thomas parking lot and is awaiting AAA. (2:59pm)
  • Caller reported a party was riding around on a loud dirt bike, not wearing a helmet, on Fairmeadow Drive. Police responded and located dirt bike. Police spoke with the bike rider’s mother. Police also advised residence to turn down music and fog machine. (8:20pm)
