POLICE LOG for June 19: Vehicle Crashes Into Fence; Fire Suppression System Activated At Gas Station

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, June 19, 2022:
  • Police checked on a vehicle in the back of the Wildwood Cemetery. Driver was visiting a family member’s grave and will be moving along shortly. (12:26am)
  • Police and Fire Department responded to Speedway. Fire suppression system was activated. (11:04am)
  • Scott Maga (54, Wilmington) was served a summons for Leaving The Scene Of Property Damage. Caller reported car drove through a fence on Lawrence Street and, while leaving the scene, struck a passing vehicle causing minor damage. Driver reportedly called station to report he had fallen asleep behind the wheel and struck the fence. (6:03pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred at Route 62 and High Street. Airbag deployed. One vehicle towed. No injuries noted. (10:19pm)
