POLICE LOG for June 12: Moped Refuses To Stop For Police; Fishing At Baby Beach

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, June 12, 2022:
  • Police noted picnic area under awning at Shawsheen Elementary School is full of trash. (1:45am)
  • A moped traveling at 26 MPH refused to stop for police on Main Street. Moped headed in Tewksbury. Tewksbury Police notified. (3:45am)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred at Main Street and Kirk Street. Airbags deployed. Vehicle towed. One of the vehicles involved left the scene prior to police arrival. Police were unable to locate. (10:04am)
  • Police responded to report from lifeguard of people fishing at Baby Beach. Police responded and moved them along. (12:14pm)
  • Police assisted Boston Police in locating an encampment behind Windsor Place on West Street. (2:14pm)
