POLICE LOG for June 7: Dogs Get Loose From Vehicle Involved In Crash; Tools & Trailer Stolen

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, June 7, 2022:
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred near Elia’s Country Store on Middlesex Avenue. One vehicle towed. Airbag deployed. 2 dogs escaped from one of the involved vehicles. One dog was found. The other dog was not. (6:57am)
  • A caller reported a man known to him stole his tools and a trailer from a location on Lopez Road. (7:49am)
  • Animal Control Officer was able to rescue other dog from accident earlier near train tracks at Middlesex Avenue and Salem Street. (1:16pm)
  • A caller reported a tree fell on Ferguson Road and took down power lines. Tree is blocking roadway. Reading Light and DPW notified and responded. (3:26pm)
  • Police received report of an erratic operator on Molloy Road. Caller stated operator was riding on double yellow line and kept hitting their breaks. Police responded and found vehicle parked in driveway. Operator stated he was having issues with his cruise control. Operator checked OK. (10:24pm)
