POLICE LOG for June 5: Wilmington Driver Issued Summons; Air Conditioner Catches Fire; Fire Engine Struck On Highway

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, June 5, 2022:
  • A caller reported 2 deceased baby raccoons in the roadway at Marcia Road and Carolyn Road. (8:28am)
  • Fire Department responded to air conditioner fire on Marion Street. (2:32pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout in Market Basket parking lot. (3:11pm)
  • Dustin R. Cole (36, Wilmington) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and Leaving The Scene Of Property Damage. Cole allegedly struck a stone wall on Burlington Avenue, causing damage, and continued on. (7:02pm)
  • A caller requested advice regarding daughter being bullied at school. Caller will follow up with Officer Stebbins in the morning. (7:28pm)
  • A struck a deer on 93 North, near Exit 34. State Police handled the scene. (11:10pm)
  • Fire tower was struck on the highway on 93 North, between Exit 34 and 35. Tower towed to DPW. State Police handled crash report. (11:24pm)
