POLICE LOG for June 3: Bad Car Crash On Main Street; Railroad Gate Issues On Woburn St.; Cockatiel Found In Garage

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, June 3, 2022:
  • Car struck a pole at Main Street and Miles Street. RMLD and Verizon notified. Mass Highway notified for detour signs. Street closed. Vehicle towed. (12:33am)
  • Car struck a wall on Shawsheen Avenue. Wall destroyed. Airbag deployed. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. (1:56am)
  • Railroad gates are down and flashing with no train coming through on Woburn Street. Keolis notified and responded. Train conductor instructed to walk train through crossing. (10:36am)
  • Property manager on Fordham Road requested additional checks of property due to ongoing issues with illegal dumping in back parking lot. (12:54pm)
  • Police issued a citation for failure to stop for a pedestrian on Adams Street. (6:19pm)
  • An Andover Street caller reported her father found a cockatiel in his garage. They’ve put the bird in a cage and posted to Facebook. They will update the police if they bring it anywhere. (6:28pm)
