POLICE LOG for May 26: Car Strikes Elia’s; Ankle Monitor Bracelet Cut Off; Man Harasses Female Train Passenger

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, May 26, 2022:
  • Police assisted Billerica Police with 3-4 students in the building. Juveniles took off on foot. At least 2 were detained. (12:17am)
  • A deceased deer was removed from Strout Avenue. (6:03am)
  • Police checked a traffic complaint of bad line of sight due to a sign and fence at Royal Street and Salem Street. Fence was determined to be on town property. Home owner will call fence company to relocate. (9:40am)
  • Caller reported there is a cut-off ankle monitor bracelet located in front of Burlington Self Storage on West Street. (10:41am)
  • Contractor working on Palmer Way located ammunition he’d like turned in. Police retrieved. (11:52am)
  • A Shady Lane Drive caller reported finding golf balls in his yard, and that his house was struck with a rock two days ago. (12:48pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a mulch fire at Lucci’s plaza. (1:46pm)
  • Gray 2020 Lexus SE struck Elia’s Country Store. No injuries. Building Inspector determined building could remain open. (2:38pm)
  • Police responded to attempted larceny of food at Market Basket. Employees retrieved all products. Female ran out of store and got into vehicle, heading towards CVS. Police were unable to locate. (3:20pm)
  • Police responded to call from mother reporting her two sons were physically fighting. Police separated parties and restored the peace. (5:19pm)
  • A walk-in reported a man was following her and harassing her after she off the train at Wilmington Center. (6:43pm)
