POLICE LOG for May 21: Door-To-Door Salesman Issued Citation For Bylaw Violation; Calls About Beaver & Groundhog In Trouble

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, May 21, 2022:
  • Police received report that a baby beaver in the road on Fiorenza Drive appeared ill. (9:12am)
  • Police notified that “Slow Blind Drive” sign on Grove Avenue has been knocked over. (10:12am)
  • Police received report of man soliciting on a Segway on Marion Street. Police responded. Man was soliciting for Fox Pest Control. He had not checked in with the station. Police told him to cease and desist for the day. He was issued a citation for the bylaw violation. Police spoke with regional manager and advised him of the procedures to solicit in town. 3 additional solicitors from the company were told not to solicit in town today. (10:31am)
  • A walk-in party reported a groundhog was stuck in a fence at Rotary Park. Animal was successfully freed. (11:04am)
