WILMINGTON REC REMINDERS: Babysitter Class & Home Alone Class On June 1

Below is a recent announcement from the Wilmington Recreation Department:

We offer two great programs that help kids learn babysitting skills or home alone safety!

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1

Instructor: Juanita Allen Kingsley
Location: Wilmington Middle School

BLAST! Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training

Grades: 6 – 8
Time: 1:45 – 3:45 p.m.
Cost: $55

This workshop includes:
* House safety
* Activities for different ages
* Choking prevention and relief
* What to consider before you take a job
* Communication – with parents, children and your parents
* How and when to call for help; how to call 911
* How to build your babysitting business

HOME ALONE SAFETY

Grades: 4 – 5
Time: 3:45 – 5:15 p.m.
Cost: $50

This workshop includes:
* Telephone and door answering techniques
* Internet safety
* Accident and fire protection
* How to call 911
* First Aid techniques
* How to prevent and relieve choking
* Time management tips
