POLICE LOG for May 14: Missing Man’s Belongings Found In Yard; Possible Attempted Break-In At Avalon Oaks

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, May 14, 2022:
  • Police came across a pair of shoes on the sidewalk near the Town Beach. Police could not locate anyone in the area. (1:54am)
  • Security and maintenance at Avalon Oaks requested police response after it appeared someone tried to gain entry to the clubhouse and office overnight. (9:41am)
  • A Shawsheen Avenue resident reported finding a bag under a tree on her property. Bag contained personal items. Billerica Police were able to determine it belonged to a man missing from their town. (11:38am) [Editor’s Note: The man was eventually found safe.]
  • Police notified DPW to remove board and 4×4 at Main Street and Burlington Avenue. Police moved debris to side of road. (8:00pm)
