POLICE LOG for May 3: Parking Issues At WHS Baseball Game; Venmo Scam; Sunbathing Racoon

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, May 3, 2022:
  • Animal Control Officer responded to a report of a sick racoon in Billerica. It was determined the racoon was just sunbathing and went back under a shed. (12:55pm)
  • A caller reported a motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of Monogram Foods on Ballardvale Street from yesterday involving a temp employee from a temp agency. (1:17pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Main Street, near D&D Lock. Called in by Sirius XM radio. No injuries noted. Both vehicles towed. (3:42pm)
  • An Adams Street caller reported their are vehicles parked in the no parking zone across from her house and she’s unable to get out of her driveway. Police responded and confirmed multiple cars in no parking lane. An announcement was made at the baseball game for the vehicles to be moved. (4:41pm)
  • A Dorothy Avenue caller reported being scammed via fraudulent cashiers check and Venmo. (5:04pm)
  • A caller reported a dirt bike was doing wheelies up and down Carter Lane. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. (8:02pm)
