POLICE LOG for April 17: Billerica Teen Issued Summons; Suspicious Man Talking With Kids

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, April 17, 2022:
  • Michael Thomas Rumley (18, Billerica) was issued a summons for Leaving The Scene Of Property Damage and Marked Lanes Violation. Rumley allegedly struck a telephone pole on Aldrich Road and drove away without a bumper. Billerica Police caught up to him. RMLD and Verizon notified due to pole damage. (2:17am)
  • Police assisted with a SWAT call in Lowell. (5:38pm)
  • A Scaltrito Drive caller reported at approximately 4:30pm, a white male in his 70’s was talking to children in a yard. When an adult came out, the male got into a White Honda and drove away. (5:45pm)
  • A caller reported there were 2 boys, ages 10-13, riding bikes in the CVS parking lot. Caller felt it was too late for them to be out. Police responded. Juveniles checked OK. Parents know their whereabouts. They have a curfew of 11pm. (10:19pm)
