POLICE LOG for April 16: Pitbull Attack; Kids Playing On Train Tracks; Car vs. Stone Wall; Police Escort Minutemen

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, April 16, 2022:
  • Police escorted the Wilmington Minutemen from High School to vet clinic on Burlington Avenue. (1:54am)
  • A Shawsheen Avenue resident came to the station to report he had a bag of rice thrown on his property. Police responded. No other bags were found on lawns in the neighborhood. (3:20pm)
  • A caller reported seeing 2 boys (approximately 7-10 years-old) playing on the North Wilmington train tracks. Police responded and found 2 boys behind Dunkin’. They were advised to stay off the tracks. (5:06pm)
  • Caller reported they were walking their children and two small dogs on Towpath Drive and two pitbulls ran out and attacked their dogs. (5:21pm)
  • Police assisted with motor vehicle lockout in Lucci’s parking lot. (5:28pm)
  • A car struck a stone wall on Shawsheen Avenue. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. Driver issued citation for hands free, marked lanes, and speeding. DPW notified for sidewalk cleanup. (10:33pm)
