POLICE LOG for April 5: Car Crashes Down Embankment & Into Culvert

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, April 5, 2022:
  • DPW reported a loose dog in field behind Town Hall. Dog was in bad shape. Police brought it to Massachusetts Veterinarian Hospital. (7:49am)
  • A car crashed and traveled 40 feet down the embankment into culvert off of Industrial Way at West Street. Driver was able to exit vehicle. Several tow trucks and Tree Department responded. (9:05am)
  • Brand Ave. street sign was reported missing. DPW notified. (12:06pm)
  • Police assisted with a SWAT call in Peabody. (12:25pm)
  • A caller reported being rear-ended at AL Prime gas station. Paperwork was exchanged. (4:18pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Shawsheen Avenue, near the Corner Stone. No injuries noted. (8:18pm)
