POLICE LOG for March 19: Issue With Train Crossing At Clark St.; Homeowner Discovered This House Was Listed For Rent On Craigslist; UHaul Rental Not Returned

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, March 19, 2022:
  • A caller reported that approximately 30 minutes ago, an Amtrak train came through the Clark St. crossing at a high rate of speed. The bells were going off without the gate being down immediately. Trains horn sounded and train came through the intersection simultaneously. Amtrak and Keolis notified. Keolis stated the crossing gates were tested and timing was in compliance with regulations. (9:38am)
  • A Forest Street caller reported someone listed her house to rent on Craigslist. (11:19am)
  • UHaul reported one of their trucks has been stolen due a customer not returning a rental. Vehicle was rented on the 7th and due back on the 8th. Customer wasn’t returning phone calls. Police entered truck into NCIC. (11:40am)
  • A walk-in party reported at approximately 11pm, an individual took pictures of his vehicle at the Shell Gas Station. Verbal argument ensued. (11:17pm)
