POLICE LOG for March 9: Amazon Van Gets Stuck; Erratic Operator

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, March 9, 2022:
  • Police assisted with a SWAT callout in Townsend. (8:56am)
  • A caller reported an erratic operator who appears to be nodding off and then overcorrecting. Police responded and located vehicle in owner’s driveway. Police spoke with owner who admitted he worked an overnight shift and was tired. He was advised to arrange a ride home in the future. (11:46am)
  • Police notified DPW that the stop sign at Federal Street and Woburn Street was knocked over. (12:02pm)
  • A caller reported that his wife is home with the kids and she reports an Amazon van got stuck in the driveway and the driver was rude. Police responded. Tow truck was able to free the van. Property damage noted. (5:38pm)
