WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department has two adult programs coming up this month that are all about fun and learning! Whether you have done it before, or want to try something new, these are the programs for you!
UPHOLSTERY
Louise Redgate
Thursdays, March 10 – April 28, 8 weeks
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Town Hall Auditorium
$90
Give new life to a piece of your old furniture by learning to reupholster. You will cover your piece with new fabric, learn to tie springs and re-pad. A supply list will be provided as your project progresses. Be aware – you will have homework! The class motto is “If you can carry it, bring it!”
SMART COOKIES
Steven Tulloch, Two Desserts Baking
Wednesdays, March 23 – April 13, 4 weeks
6 – 8 p.m.
WHS Consumer Science Room
$135
This class for novice or less experienced bakers will introduce basic baking and cookie skills. You will make Confetti Sugar, Oatmeal Surprise and Double Chocolate cookies. Learn how different ingredients work over the first three classes, then put it all together in the final week as you experiment with Customizable Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies! Take home cookies to share each week!
