POLICE LOG for February 21: Woman Issued Summons For Assault & Battery After Incident In Savers Parking Lot; Man Issued Summons For OUI After Crash

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, February 21, 2022:
  • Police assisted a citizen who ran out of gas and gave them a ride to Shell gas station. (1:07am)
  • Police checked on a vehicle behind Tremezzo on Shawsheen Avenue. Driver checked OK. He was looking for a place to text his girlfriend whom he had an argument with. He plans on sleeping in his car for the evening. (2:42am)
  • Police received multiple calls reporting a wrong way driver on 93 North, described as a small black sedan. Police notified State Police. (3:52am)
  • A Chestnut Street caller reported an ill looking raccoon on his property acting aggressively. Raccoon was euthanized. (10:08am)
  • Stacy A. Cummisky (39, Beverly) was issued a summons for Assault & Battery. Cummisky allegedly threated someone with a knife after a motor vehicle accident in the Saveres parking lot. (1:15pm)
  • A Stonehedge Drive resident reported credit card fraud. (2:39pm)
  • A caller reported 2 juveniles were riding their bicycles on ice at Silver Lake. Police responded and could not locate. (3:07pm)
  • Matthew C. Birtwistle (33, Stoneham) was issued a summons for OUI Liquor; Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle; and Marked Lanes Violation. Birtwistle was involved in a 2-vehicle crash at the 93 North Exit 34 ramp and Route 62. Both vehicles towed. (6:07pm)
  • Police sent a group of kids in the student parking lot on their way after receiving noise complaint phone calls. (9:42pm)
