POLICE LOG for January 28: Report Of Train Passing Through While Gates Stay Up; Fired Employee Makes Threat; Man Issued Summons For Trespassing

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, January 28, 2022:

• A vehicle struck a deer on Ballardvale Street. Deer was euthanized. (6:56am)
• A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Chestnut Street. Verizon pole cracked. Mailbox damaged. (9:23am)
• Michael Murphy (40, Tewksbury) was issued a summons for trespassing. (9:54am)
• Management at Avalon Oaks reported security footage of a possible larceny. (10:22am)
• Police received report of a train passing through, lights going on, but gates not coming down on Glen Road. MBTA Police and Keolis notified and responded. (1:22pm)
• A caller reported they terminated a contractor who then made threats to another employee that he would punch them in the face. Man left. Police were asked to take a ride through the property. (3:39pm)
• A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Boutwell Street with airbag deployed. Both vehicles towed. (3:49pm)
• A caller reported about 20 minutes ago, 2 vehicles threw a cone at her Hobson Avenue house. May be a school prank. (10:39pm)
