POLICE LOG for January 15: Driver Issued Summons After Salem St. Crash; Porch Fire; Cat Struck & Killed

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, January 15, 2022:

• Tomas Christian Fernandez (27, Lawrence) was issued a summons for Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, and Speeding. Crash on Salem Street damaged Verizon pole and retaining wall at Shea Concrete (12:39am)
• A car struck a tree on Forest Street. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. (6:51am)
• Fire Department responded to a porch fire on Woburn Street. (3:48pm)
• A caller reported a cat was struck on Burlington Avenue and is deceased. Voicemail left for Animal Control Officer. (11:49pm)
