POLICE LOG for January 7: First Snow Storm Causes Crashes & Winter Parking Ban Enforcement

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, January 7, 2022:

• Police put winter ban parking slips on vehicles parked on Main Street and Pouliot Place. (2:10am)
• Police issued a citation for impeding snow removal on Gloria Way. (8:59am)
• A 2-vehicle crash occurred at Dobson Street and Garden Avenue. Airbags deployed. One driver transported by Fire Department. One vehicle towed. One vehicle involved was a DPW truck which struck a pole. Verizon notified. (9:23am)
• A 1-vehicle crash occurred on Burlington Avenue. Airbag deployed. Wink-o-matic struck and knocked over. Vehicle towed. RMLD and Verizon notified. (12:54pm)
• A vehicle struck a pole at Ballardvale Street and Research Drive. Police issued a written warning for improper restraint of a child under 8. (12:59pm)
• A 2-vehicle crash occurred in Savers parking lot involving a plow contractor. (1:12pm)
• Boutwell Street resident reported a vehicle struck a rock wall across from her house. (2:52pm)
