POLICE LOG for January 5: Lights Out At Key Intersection; Car Crash Leads To Argument; Disturbance At Red Heat

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, January 5, 2022:
  • Police checked on a suspicious vehicle in the Target parking lot. Driver stopped to rest on long road trip. Checked OK. (1:15am)
  • Police notified RMLD and Public Buildings that lights at the intersection of Salem Street and Woburn Street weren’t working. (12:38pm)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Woburn Street. Caller stated two parties were yelling at each other. Police assisted with paperwork exchange. One driver was cited for failure to stop at stop sign. Fire Department received 3 patient refusals. (5:07pm)
  • Disturbance at Red Heat Tavern after employee “flipped out” after being told he could not ask fellow employees for a ride home. Caller stated he punched a door and made threats. Employee was terminated. Caller was unable to locate individual. (9:04pm)
