POLICE LOG for December 31: Car vs. Deer; Squirrels Caught In Traps; Teens Walk Away From Group Home

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, December 31, 2021:
  • A caller reported two traps set up by the trash at a Mill Road home has two squirrels in them. Police released the squirrels, which ran up a tree. (11:23am)
  • Police noticed a tarp in the roadway on Andover Street. Police notified DPW. (12:06pm)
  • A caller reported something hit his vehicle on Burlington Avenue, but he’s unsure what since there’s no other vehicles around. Police responded. Hair follicles on front end of vehicle suggest a deer was struck. Vehicle was towed. (6:13pm)
  • Two juveniles walked away from Milestone Group Home on High Street. Police responded and were unable to locate. Staff agreed to come to station to file missing person’s paperwork. (11:22pm)
