POLICE LOG for December 9: Catalytic Converters Stolen; Used Needles Found Roadside; Crash At Middlesex Ave. & Clark St.

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, December 9, 2021:
  • A Ballardvale Street caller reported his employees witnessed a person trying to enter a vehicle. The person was scared off by the employees and left. (6:00am)
  • Red light at Ballardvale Street going north into Andover is staying red and causing traffic to back up to the highway. State Highway was notified and responded. Public Buildings noted a recent accident took out a pole in the area that is causing the red light to cycle incorrectly. (7:54am)
  • 3 vehicles in a parking lot on Industrial Way had their catalytic converters stolen. (8:17am)
  • A Cardinal Court resident reported Shawsheen Elementary school kids are running through her front yard and parents were parking in her driveway. Transportation Department was notified and involved parents will be notified to rectify the issue. (10:51am)
  • A Railroad Avenue resident turned in unwanted ammunition. (12:41pm)
  • A West caller reported a catalytic converter theft from one of his vans. (2:26pm)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred at Middlesex Avenue and Clark Street. 2 vehicles towed. Verizon pole was struck. (3:15pm)
  • A caller reported used needles on the 93 overpass on Lowell Street. (4:01pm)
