POLICE LOG for December 1: Group Of Teens Causing Issues At Savers & Dollar Tree; Irate Customer At UPS Makes Threats?

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Wednesday, December 1, 2021:
  • Police noted new graffiti on the back of the vacant Rite Aide building. (2:17am)
  • A caller reported that approximately 45 minutes ago, she was going over the train tracks on Clark Street and a train was coming, but the gates did not come down and the lights did not flash. Keolis was notified to check gates. (11:24am)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred at Jiffy Lube on Main Street. 2 vehicles towed. No injuries noted. (11:59am)
  • Wires fell onto roadway and a truck on Parker Street. RMLD and Verizon notified. (1:28pm)
  • A Deming Way resident reported someone has been knocking on her window late at night over the past few nights. Officer will check the area tonight. (3:59pm)
  • Manager at UPS on Fordham Road called to report an irate customer who claimed he was going to “come get them.” Police will meet with customer at UPS at 7pm to meditate situation as he retrieves his package. (4:02pm)
  • Savers store manager reported 10-15 teens were pushing around shopping carts in the parking lot. Group was gone by the time police arrived. (4:50pm)
  • Dollar Tree store manager called looking for advice on middle school students causing a disturbance in the store. Police will do extra patrols in the area. (5:10pm)
