POLICE LOG for November 30: Dog Attacked; Car vs. Deer; Smoking Spot Raises Suspicion

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, November 30, 2021:
  • 911 caller reported someone was walking their dog when 2 stray dogs attacked the dog on the leash on Salem Street near the North Intermediate School. The party walking the dog was able to separate the dogs and continued walking. Dog owners eventually picked up loose dogs — one was a pitbull and one was a mutt. Animal Control Officer will follow up with dog owner. (3:47am)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Cumberland Farms on Main Street. (2:03pm)
  • A caller struck a deer at Route 62/Woburn Street. Caller believed deer was deceased. Police responded and notified DPW. (8:50pm)
  • A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked near their house on Rustic Lane. Vehicle has parked there on and off for the past few days. Police responded. Driver lives nearby on Evergreen Drive, but is not allowed to smoke there, so drives to this spot to smoke. Will find a new smoking spot. (9:12pm)
  • Police assisted with a SWAT call in Lowell. (10:52pm)
