POLICE LOG for October 31: Child Finds Needle In Trick Or Treat Bag; Wilmington Man Arrested; Car vs. Tree

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, October 31, 2021:
  • A vehicle crashed into a tree on 93 South, prior to Exit 35. Driver was transported to Lahey Hospital with injuries. Vehicle was towed. (3:25am)
  • A Lake Street caller reported a syringe on the sidewalk. A needle has been retrieved for destruction. (10:22am)
  • Burlington Police requested Wilmington Police look for an erratic operator in the area of Burlington Avenue. They received reports that operator was swerving and tailgating other drivers. Police went to vehicle owner’s home. Family member said driver was out test-driving his new vehicle. (4:33pm)
  • A caller reported their child received a needle in their trick or treat bag. Police responded. Child was given a diabetic testing kit — likely an oversight. (6:45pm)
  • Police had two individuals who threw eggs at a residence on Seneca Lane clean up the mess. (9:04pm)
  • Guillermo Rafael Sanchez, Jr. (23, Wilmington) was arrested on 3 warrants including 1 for an alleged OUI. (10:41pm)
