POLICE LOG for November 1: Shoplifting At CVS; Car Fire; Unlocked Vehicle Entered Overnight

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, November 1, 2021:
  • CVS employee reported a female shoplifter at the store. Police responded. Employees had taken merchandise out of woman’s bag prior to her leaving the store. Employees did not want to press charges. Police assisted woman with arranging a cab ride home. (12:57am)
  • A car struck a parked car on Marcia Road. Airbag deployed. Vehicle towed. No injuries noted. (9:49am)
  • An unlocked vehicle was reported entered on Avalon Drive. (10:01am)
  • Police and Fire responded to car fire at Woburn Street and Salem Street. Vehicle towed. (1:36pm)
  • A caller reported a vehicle struck her mailbox and her husband’s work truck. Driver stayed on scene. Police assisted with paperwork exchange. (10:09pm)
