POLICE LOG for October 24: Wilmington Police Assist New Driver; Brush Fire; Crosswalk Violation

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Sunday, October 24, 2021:

• Fire Department responded to brush fire on Andover Street. (7:43am)
• Police issued a citation to a driver for a crosswalk violation on Middlesex Avenue. (4:17pm)
• Parents called stating their daughter is a new driver and her car broke down on the side of the road at Woburn Street and Salem Street. Her parents called AAA, but daughter is nervous and upset. Parents asked that a cruiser check on her. Police stayed with the driver until parents arrived. Officer and driver’s father pushed vehicle into Harnden Tavern parking lot. (11:29pm)
