POLICE LOG for October 1: Vehicle Doing Donuts In Student Parking Lot; Kids Run From Police; Bad Crash On Main St.

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, October 1, 2021:
  • A homeowner is reporting a Verizon truck is blocking their High Street driveway and is refusing to move. Her husband and the workers are verbally arguing and have since separated. Police responded. Work will continue with a different employee. (6:56am)
  • A 3-vehicle crash occurred at Concord Street and Woburn Street. No injuries reported. (11:47am)
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred near McDonald’s on Main Street. One operator was transported to hospital. One vehicle towed. (5:37pm)
  • A small group of juveniles ran into the woods from the library’s lower parking lot upon seeing police. 3 of the 5 juveniles returned and said they rained and were scared. They were walking home from football game. (8:31pm)
  • Police received complaints of vehicles parking along Adams Street during the football game. Police will speak with school officials on Monday. (8:39pm)
  • A caller reported a large truck tire in the roadway on 93 North. State Police notified. (8:44pm)
  • A caller reported a black SUV was doing donuts in the student parking lot and driving up on the grass. Police responded and noted minor damage to grass. Took photos. Witnesses did not recognize vehicle or individuals, didn’t think they were from Wilmington. (9:40pm)
