POLICE LOG for September 28: Wilmington Man Arrested For OUI; Warrant Arrest; Vehicle Hits Dog

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, September 28, 2021:
  • A 2-vehicle crash occurred on 93 North Exit 31 ramp. Air bag deployment. Both vehicles towed. (6:41am)
  • Police notified DPW that stop sign at King Street and Broad Street is missing. DPW set up a temporary stop sign. (7:38am)
  • A vehicle struck a dog on Shawsheen Avenue and drove away. Witnesses did not get license plate. Dog checked OK by Animal Control Officer. (10:11am)
  • Peter Joseph Rice (46, Wilmington) was arrested on a warrant. (10:49am)
  • Manager of Market Basket reported someone was sleeping on the bench outside the store. (11:53am)
  • Police responded to an accidental silent hold-up alarm at Bank of America. (4:07pm)
  • A gray 2010 Hyundai Sonata struck a pole on Fairmeadow Road. No injuries. (5:11pm)
  • Joseph Ralph Rastellini (29, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor, Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, and Marked Lanes Violation. Vehicle allegedly struck a mailbox and trash barrel near Hobarts Country Store in Tewksbury. (10:56pm)
