POLICE LOG for September 23: Marine Flag Stolen; Bird Stuck In Chimney; 5-Vehicle Crash; Drag Racing On Main Street?

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, September 23, 2021:
  • A Marine flag was stolen from Dewey Avenue. (10:57am)
  • A Lang Street resident reported a bird was stuck in a chimney. Woburn Animal Control Officer responded. (11:07am)
  • Keolis called to report they had a train stopped due to reports of a man and child on the train tracks near Bridge Lane. Police were unable to locate. (3:34pm)
  • A 5-vehicle crash occurred on Ballardvale Street. No injuries noted. 2 vehicles towed. (5:39pm)
  • Police spoke with a group of juveniles in a Main Street parking lot. It appeared one was doing donuts. Juvenile said their e-brake was stuck. (9:20pm)
  • A caller reported a red Ford Focus and black Mustang were speeding down Main Street and blew a stop sign. Vehicles entered the Market Basket parking lot. Police spoke with all parties and sent them on their way. (10:15pm)
