POLICE LOG for August 21: Police Respond To 911 Hang Up To Confirm No Emergency, Which Aggravates Caller; False Alarm At Reading Coop

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, August 21, 2021:
  • A female out walking her dog on Glen Road reported a white sedan began driving slowly and following her. A tall man got out of his car when she went into her home.  Police responded. Driver checked OK. (1:53am)
  • Police received burglar alarm notification from Reading Cooperative Bank on Middlesex Avenue. Police responded. Facilities manager did not have proper passcode. Branch manager arrived on scene and confirmed situation. (8:34am)
  • Police received a 911 open line from Butters Row residence with possible argument in background. Caller realized she dialed 911 and hung up. Dispatch attempted to call back 3 times, but caller did not answer. Police responded. Caller was having a birthday party at the residence. She was aggravated with police showing up. (4:52pm)
