POLICE LOG for August 16: Stolen Vehicle Found At School; Vehicle Strikes Garage; Transformer Explosion Leads To Brush Fire

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, August 16, 2021:
  • A caller reported a vehicle parked in the field of the Woburn Street school. Vehicle was stolen from Hampton, New Hampshire two hours ago. K9 search came up empty. School Superintendent’s office notified. Vehicle towed. (8:46am)
  • A caller reported a broken back window on their van near Tender Learning Centre on Main Street. (11:45am)
  • A vehicle struck a garage on Lucaya Circle. No structural damage. (12:03pm)
  • A caller reported a past larceny at Sonny’s Mobil on the Run. (12:16pm)
  • Police received multiple calls reporting a transformer explosion and brush fire. Police shut down traffic. RMLD responded. (12:23pm)
  • A Cedar Street caller reported property damage from a tractor trailer unit driving over her front lawn. (6:11pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Planet Fitness. (6:51pm)
